Dear PFLAG Peachtree City Members and Supporters:
Your health and wellbeing are the top priority for our PFLAG chapter. With that in mind, and based on data and information we have received from PFLAG National, CDC, WHO, and the Georgia Department of Public Health about limiting social gatherings during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, we are cancelling our regularly scheduled monthly meetings in person through the end of July, at least.
We will continue to meet virtually, via Zoom, until First Presbyterian Church Peachtree City is available again for meeting facilitation. Please email us at email@example.com to be invited to these Zoom meetings.
Even though we are not meeting in person, PFLAG Peachtree City board members are available to provide non-emergency support. Please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance or to request to be added to our email list for further announcements. You may also find helpful information on our “Resources” page. For transgender youth and their parents, TransYouth Family Allies is a great resource.
For urgent support, visit pflag.org for an up-to-date list of emergency hotline numbers, available nationwide.
When we are able to meet in person again, we will announce the date by email and Facebook post.
President, PFLAG Peachtree City
OUR VISION. PFLAG envisions a world where diversity is celebrated and all people are respected, valued, and affirmed inclusive of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.
OUR MISSION. By meeting people where they are and collaborating with others, PFLAG realizes its vision through:
- SUPPORT for families, allies, and people who are LGBTQ
- EDUCATION for ourselves and others about the unique issues and challenges facing people who are LGBTQ
- ADVOCACY in our communities to change attitudes and create policies and laws that achieve full equality for people who are LGBTQ
We welcome the participation and support of all who share in our Vision and Mission and who hope to realize our goals.
